to Join MiddleWeb's Daily Discussion about
Reading/Writing Workshop & Middle Grades Literacy
From 2001-05,
MiddleWeb sponsored an ongoing listserv discussion (MWPROJECTS) among
educators who work with struggling readers & writers in grades 4-8
and have an interest in Workshop strategies. Our conversations were guided,
in part, by the classroom journals
of Juli Kendall. Juli moderated the list for four years and continues
to be a member, having turned her moderating duties over to middle school
teacher Bill Ivey. Many of the resources provided by Juli and other list
members can be downloaded at our Project
resources page.
Recently, Project members elected to establish their own website—just for this work.
