The multi-talented David Lee Finkle teaches ninth grade English and creative writing in a Florida public school. For 20 years, in local newspapers and online, his comic strip Mr. Fitz has succeeded in rendering the realities of teaching and school life with humor, empathy and irony. David Lee Finkle has been teaching middle and high school students in Florida for 28 years. He currently teaches Creative Writing and English I. He also teaches fiction writing at Stetson University’s HATS program, leading students to write collaborative novels in a week.
